The Young Christian Students (YCS) Unit of Manipal solemnly installed its new office bearers during the 8:00 a.m. Holy Eucharistic Celebration held on Sunday, 19 July 2026. The installation and oath-taking ceremony marked the beginning of a new year of faith-filled leadership, service, and commitment for the YCS members.

The Holy Mass witnessed the active participation of parishioners, parents, youth, and students. During the celebration, the newly elected office bearers were formally introduced to the parish community and took their oath of office, pledging to faithfully uphold the ideals and values of the Young Christian Students movement.

The celebrant encouraged the newly elected leaders to embrace their responsibilities with humility, dedication, and a spirit of service. In his homily, he reminded the students that true Christian leadership is rooted in prayer, compassion, teamwork, and witnessing Christ through their daily lives.

Following the homily, the oath-taking ceremony was conducted before the congregation. Each office bearer affirmed their commitment to serve the Church, the parish, and fellow students with sincerity and integrity. The newly installed team was entrusted with the mission of strengthening the YCS movement within the parish through faith formation, leadership development, social outreach, and active participation in parish activities.

The parish community joined together in praying for God’s abundant blessings upon the newly elected leaders, asking the Holy Spirit to guide them with wisdom, courage, and perseverance throughout their term of office.

The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from the parish leadership, who expressed appreciation to the outgoing committee for their dedicated service and congratulated the incoming team. Parishioners extended their best wishes to the new office bearers and assured them of their prayers and support as they begin another year of serving God and the Church through the YCS movement.
