LEGION OF MARY, CHRIST CHURCH, MANIPAL
The Legion of Mary is an official Association of the Church, under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of all Graces. The legionaries hope to render themselves worthy of their great heavenly Queen by their loyalty, their virtues, and their courage. The spirit of the Legion of Mary is that of Mary herself, her profound humility, her perfect obedience, her angelical sweetness, her continual prayer, her universal mortification, her altogether spotless purity, her heroic patience, her heavenly wisdom, her self-sacrificing courageous love of God, and above all her faith, that virtue which has in her alone been found in its utmost extent and never equalled.
The representatives from Udupi Diocese Curia, initiated and conducted the first Legion of Mary Praesidium of Christ Church, Manipal, on 24th August 2025, at Christ church Conference Hall, Manipal.

Activities:
Scheduled Meetings: Every Saturday at 4.30pm, Conference Hall, Christ Church.
Visiting the families/Rosary in their homes.
As a part of the Christmas celebration, they invited 4 non catholic families and shared their joy by helping them and distributing cake and kuswar.
The members have attended and actively participated in Diocesan Legion of Mary feast and The Acies, the most significant annual ceremony of the Legion of Mary.
During the lent season, members came together to meditate on the stations of the cross.
The members actively involved in the “Bible proclamation”, conducted by Bible commission in the parish.
The Legion of Mary unit encourages daily Bible reading to its members by systematic, planned reading.
